Hello! We are Andrea and Danté DiAmalfi from Montana!
We are avid lovers and readers of books, magazines, ezines. We love all subjects, although we each have our most favorites. There is one publication, though, that we both love for our own reasons. It's a publication that's all about tea. We have been loyal subscribers of our favorite tea magazine since 2014.
One of us loves to cook/bake the recipes featured in each of the six issues of this premier publication about tea, and both of us love to eat the tea snacks. But we always felt our experience was not complete just enjoying the recipes. What was missing? The TEA, of course!!
Seventeen individual teas from a variety of tea purveyors are featured in each issue of this favorite publication. However, just like that box of chocolates, there was no way to know which tea to try or if indeed it would be our cup of tea or not! The thought of buying a tea untasted, especially an extra fancy tea with an extra fancy price, no matter how delicious it sounded, was beyond our comfort zone. Perhaps it was beyond yours, too.
Until now. We have solved this tea tasting conundrum. We decided to take our tea tasting curiosity into our own hands and share it with you and thus created My New Favorite Tea. My New Favorite Tea has aspirations to be a subscription box company where fellow tea lovers of the premier tea magazine in the US can reliably expect their My Favorite Tea box of sample teas to arrive around the same time as their favorite magazine to elevate their tea'ing and reading experience. That's our big dream!
For now, though, we are self-funding this passion project. You are witnessing entrepreneurship at its rawest, and hopefully finest. We are doing everything ourselves and figuring it out as we go. We are amateurs at business, we own it. As such, nothing is set in stone just now, not brand logo, not brand colors, or even how we present the tea. We humbly beg your patience as we plant our tea seed on the web and water it and grow it.
We had a need to taste tea, and we filled it! Yes, there's two modified movie quotes in that sentence because we are also avid movie lovers. Can you guess which two? Bonus points for those who can quote the original line with the name of the movie. And extra, extra bonus points for the third movie quote listed above. But, we digress. (Beware, we do that a lot 😉)
